In the last two years, we've been told by numerous people that Owen "chose" us as parents. This notion, regardless of my belief in a literal translation of it, gives me comfort. His little family loves him so much.

My MIL is one of those that thinks that soul's choose each other before life begins. I'm not completely sure about all that, but I certainly like the idea.
What a beautiful family--as to Owen choosing you, if that´s true he certainly couldn´t have made a better choice. You two are truly wonderful. On that note: Happy late birthday to Owen! We had hoped to see you (and meet your new additions!) while in town, but send big hugs and hopes for next time. Will write you guys hopefully soon :)
