About our blog...

I'm an Iowa girl, transplanted to the Pacific Northwest, drawn to the ocean and mountains, fifteen years ago. I'm married to a wonderful guy who wooed me with an electric guitar twenty years ago and has made my heart sing ever since. I own a business. And I'm a mother to two sons who have permeated my soul and have enriched every facet of my life. Owen (Owen Keith Marshall, a.k.a. O.K.M.) came into the world on July 13th, 2007 after a long and difficult labor. His birth story is unlike most, but is just as unique as all of ours. It is his own. Owen has cerebral palsy, is visually-impaired, has a feeding tube and, when they decide to rear their ugly heads, seizures. He is courageous, determined and truly a beautiful soul. Elliot is his younger brother by nineteen months. Elliot is quick-to-laugh, affectionate and totally outrageous. This is both the story of our family's journey and the ramblings about our goings-on and adventures.
