The OK Blog

Mom and Dad thought that it would be nice for everyone that cares so much about what is going on with me to have a singular and regularly updated place to go for the latest. Dad set up my blog (I think that he has always wanted to have a reason to say "blogosphere") but Mom is a much better communicator, so you know who will be driving this thing. I can feel the Big Love from all of you pouring into me every day to make me feel better.

XO, Owen

Stacy! What a fabulous way to communicate with everyone about your family! Owen truly won the lottery when he was given you and Kelsey as parents! It sounds like he has really been tested since his birth, as well as those who love him, but you are amazing in your love and devotion for him! I would love to come out and stay a few days when it is more convenient for you. If things ever slow down, please let me know! Extend my thoughts to your mom. I hope you are all well. Much love! Dana

Nice picture! What a cute little monkey! I now have a new favorite website to visit on a daily basis. Thanks for doing this for everyone. When you have so many people that love you it makes it hard to keep everyone up-to-date on how Owen and his parents are doing. Love ya guys! Give OK a kiss from his aunt Laura.

It is so hearening to know what a sturdy support base you have out there and I really appreciate the updates. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and sending you all the love in my heart and, as you know, you have an army of people doing the same. Be strong!

S/K/O--

I'm delighted to know we can keep up with you guys and we can tell you we're sending our best wishes any time we want. And you can check in with the universe on your own time, keeping all your energies focused on Owen and each other. You do know, don't you, that we have beds in Seattle when you come in to Children's? We sort of run a B&C (Bed & Coffee--GFC coffee, of course--but other amenities are on your own.) ANYTIME! Love to you all, Barbara

Stacy/Kels,
I just talked to Mike last night and heard about the last few months. You guys are amazing people and have already proven to be amazing parents. Owen is SO cute and I'm sure he will prove to be a spitfire son.
I look forward to meeting him.
Hang in there. My thoughts and energy are with you three.

Dear Stacy, Kelsey and Sweet Boy Owen,
Hi, I am your Aunt Gail's best friend, Margie. We all met at Heather and Matt's wedding. I am in Seattle as I write and will only be here until the 22nd. I would love to share the name and phone number of a dear friend that works at Children's Hospital in Seattle. She is a wonderful and very caring P.T. there. I spoke to her about Owen and she would love to assist your family in making local contacts through her many resources.Being a frequent flyer of Children's ourselves, I have come to know that it is WHO you know in the "system" of hospital care and also WHAT you know.
Owen has the best possible parents and I know you two will be guided to the best people to make his journey smooth and joyous. He, as all children are our gift.
Please call Aunt Gail and we can go from there. God bless you all and remember.....every moment is a gift!
We love you all,
Margie, Rosie and Ray

Justice (4 years old) prays for you every night, Owen. He has not met you yet, but is looking forward to playing in the park together as you both get older.
